Jonathan L. Smith became the pastor of First Baptist Church in 2007. Jonathan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christianity and Communications from Houston Baptist University and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served the church in many different roles, including education minister, youth minister, and worship minister:
"My life verse can be found in Ephesians 4:11-12 'God gave some..to be pastors and teachers to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.' My role as pastor is to train and teach each member of the church to do the work of a minister. The church is the most powerful instrument of God on the earth."
Jonathan and his wife Heather have been married 16 years and have three sons, ages 15, 12, and 10.
Tammy Dusek has been the Church Ministry Assistant of First Baptist since September 2005. She and her husband, Bobby, became members in 1991 and have been married for 20 years. They have been blessed with three wonderful children, ages 18, 13, and 7. Tammy is a Sunday School teacher for the Pre-K class and is president of Church Women United.
Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Heidi L. Ullrich became the Children's Minister in December 2009. She attend FBC when she was a child, and remembers being an angel in a Christmas program when she was 4 years old. She attended Texas Tech University where she majored in Public Relations. She has served in many different church roles including teaching Sunday School, directing Vacation Bible School and serving as Children's Ministry Director.

Dave and Heidi Ehler joined First Baptist Church in January of 2006 and began ministering to our youth in September 2006. They have been involved with youth ministry since 2002, first in California and then here in Texas. Their desire to minister to youth has also led them to volunteer with Epiphany Ministry of Texas which is an evangelistic outreach to incarcerated youth.
Dave and Heidi met in High school and have been married for 13 yrs. God has blessed them with 3 wonderful children, ages 9, 6, and 2.
