Deut. 6:1-9

 

1. To develop my family’s faith, the Bible must have a grasp of my heart.

Deut. 6:1-2

 

I can’t leave my kids what I’m not living!

Deut. 6:4

 

A. The Bible tells me how God has revealed Himself.

I. The Lord God is unique.

II. The Lord God is a unity.

 

B. The Bible tells me what God requires of me.

Deut. 6:5

 

i. I am to have a sincere love.

 

Our love for God can be with all of our heart when all of our heart has been loved by God.

 

ii. I am to have a sacred love.

 

iii. I am to have a strong love.

 

My life is their lesson.

2. To develop my family’s faith, the Bible must have governance over my home.

A. I take time for formal instruction.

B. I take time for informal instruction.

3. To develop my family’s faith, the Bible must have guidance over my habits.

Deut. 6:8-9

 

A. The Word should determine my actions.

 

B. The Word should determine my attitudes.

 

C. The Word should determine my atmosphere.
